Where is America’s Longest Underground Boat Ride?
The engineers of the Erie Canal discovered a problem no one had ever before encountered. It’s 1823 and American has very few colleges, let alone technical institutes (i.e., engineering schools). Still, Nathan Roberts was able to successfully design what Lafayette called “the greatest artificial wonder” when he visited the site in 1825.
